My husband has risen so admirably to any challenge I’ve thrown at him for our game table. I thought I would reward his hard work with…another request!
Since expanding our armies recently, the percentage of female figures has dropped sharply. I challenged him to leave the orcs to me, and paint one female each day for the month of June. (I also asked that he be liberal in the use of red hair, should I want to use any of his new figures for my main character 🙂 )
On DAY 30, our final lady finishes with a flourish.
DAY 29 waits for our wedding as well.
DAY 28 is the perfect mixture of cute…
…
and deadly.
DAY 27 is a lady-in-waiting for a wedding.
DAY 26 is playing the part of a blushing bride.
DAY 25 is a lady with attitude.
DAY 24 is another companion skald to our champion, Bleddyn.
On DAY 23 our second axe-weilding Viking Warrior joins the group.
DAY 22 is a finely sculpted Viking Warrior from Bronze Age Minis, gifted to us by our Lead Adventure Forum friend, LeadAsbestos.
On DAY 21, we have one of the less-successful wenches at Bleddyn’s tavern.
DAY 20 is the last of a set of 5 I gave my husband a couple birthdays ago. I thought she has a Sarah Connor look to her, like she’s about to bust out of those chains and mess up some metal.
We break boldly from brown on DAY 19 with one of Bleddyn’s *ahem* entertainers at his inn.
DAY 18 completes the Brown Women with a refugee on the move.
On DAY 17 we are visited by a peasant woman feeding fowl.
DAY 16 starts a study in brown with a casting cultist.
DAY 15 is a high-born lady of Kildare.
DAY 14 finishes the first half of the month with a haggard character from Timlin Town, Crafty Kate. She runs Bleddyn’s inn for him. She’s a bit of a potion-brewer as well.
For DAY 13, we have a Grunevaldian warrior.
On DAY 3, I got a message from a new friend. He liked our Lady a Day challenge and had a set of Viking women he thought we could put to good use. On DAY 8, we received a package in the mail. My husband and daughter gathered round as I opened it to find 6 figures, among them 4 of the fanciest Viking Women I have ever held. On Day 10, I was able to post the first of these new women. The other 3 are on the tray waiting to be painted, but one of the extra figures in the box you might recognize.
Lady of the DAY 12, via the USPS, is the Red version of our Twin Warrior set.
DAY 11 is from a set of five , wait for it, Viking Women! She is number 4, numbers 1 and 2 were painted before this month, and number 3 is DAY 9 in the thread below.
On DAY 10 we celebrate with an outstanding Viking Woman, thanks to the generous donations of a new friend! (Also please note the red hair. Look out urogs, it’s Wynston in mail!)
We showcase a stately Viking woman for DAY 9.
A feisty two-weapon woman debuts on DAY 8.
For DAY 7, the last of the matching sword sisters. Maybe she should have been a shield maiden.
On DAY 6 we return to the sword sisters, with the mounted version.
Sticking with the thief theme, for DAY 5 we have a second Werner Klocke. Today’s thief is from warmer climes than yesterday’s:
DAY 4 brings a Werner Klocke Female Prowler lurking around our table. I will definitely claim her for my spy!
The first three are a collection of sword-sisters.
Very cute… And an awesome idea! It will/should never be even, but closer to equal is good!
You’ll have quite the selection to pick your character from when next you play!
